Hello everyone So I'm trying to add my exchange email address to Outlook 2010. On Mac, in both mail app and Outlook 2011, I enter username, password and the server address and it works automatically with no configuration needed. On PC however, no matter how I try, Outlook 2010 cannot add the account and keep giving me erros I did some search and all I could find that Outlook 2010 likes to use MAPI for exchange access while Mail app and Oulook 2010 use EWS method (web access method). Is there a way to configure Outlook 2010 like that? Hello everyone So I'm trying to add my exchange email address to Outlook 2010.

Thank you Do it via the Mail control panel. If you create a new profile and give it your Exchange server address/credentials, it happens more-or-less automatically. Are you setting this up outside your corporate network? You're not going to be able to make a MAPI connection outside your corporate network, you'd have to connect via Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP). EWS works via OWA, so if OWA is exposed to the Internet, that would explain why Mail.app and Outlook 2011 works on Mac, but Outlook 2010 doesn't work on PC. I'd guess that they enabled OWA, but not Outlook Anywhere for you. And that's why Outlook 2010 doesn't work on PC.
I think you are correct. I'm not connecting Outlook 2010 from the corporate network Is there anyway to make Outlook 2010 work with OWA? Are you setting this up outside your corporate network?
Environment: Mac, Outlook 2011, Outlook 2016. Resolution: 1. With outlook open, in the menu bar at the top of your screen, click on “Tools” and then 2. In the account window that opens up, click on the “Advanced” button in the bottom right corner of the window: 3. The window will change again, at the. Step 1, Click on the Outlook icon.Step 2, Click on Tools and then on Accounts.Step 3, Click on Exchange account.

No, and it doesn't need to, it can use Outlook Anywhere which is an order of magintude better. If your admins haven't set that up, they need to, or you need to use IE and OWA instead.
